As an individual, you already have some experience interacting with the environment in a number of ways. This continues to change throughout your life.
Think about the specific reasons that someone may participate in any given activity- even the same activity can be experienced from a variety of perspectives or with different intentions. This section focuses on the specific types of interaction, that is what we do in outdoor environments, and the way these interactions are reflected in the relationships people have with specific environments. The four broad categories we can fit these interactions in are:
