Camps & Excursions
Each of the practical experiences, both camps or excursions, offered in Outdoor and Environmental Studies has clearly defined links to the VCE study design and have been carefully planned in order to better assist you in preparation for assessment.
For each unit of study from 1-4, it is recommended that students spend 25-50 hours participating in outdoor experiences. The camp experience offered for each unit of study is aimed to address this, with each being named based on Indigenous peoples' association with that specific Outdoor Environment.
- Unit 1: Birrarung camp (Warrandyte State Park & the Yarra River)
- Unit 2: Yiruk Wamoon camp (Wilsons Promontroy National Park)
- Unit 3: Bogong camp (Bogong High Plains- Alpine National Park)
- Unit 4: Banyul camp (Yarra Ranges National Park & Lake Mountain Resort)
Please ensure you complete and return an updated medical/consent form prior to the first practical experience in each semester.
