*Update in progress...
Hopefully by now you recognise and understand that human relationships with outdoor environments come in variety of different forms. Some perceive and interact with outdoor environments as a resource, others for recreation, some experience a spiritual connection that they can identify as having exisited for generations. With opposing relationships comes conflict, serious disagreement and argument. When one particular group envisage a certain relationship with an outdoor environment, they feel that this is how the environment should be used. When there's an opposing idea on this is when we see conflict occur. Conflict can lead to situations where both sides of the conflict attempt to gain public and political backing to support their own position.
